CARSON HOLLOW

2002 - Fusaichi Pegasus out of Marozia by Storm Bird

The Andromeda-Milky Way collision is due to take place in approximately three billion years time. If the collision occurs, the galaxies will merge into one larger galaxy.

ANDROMEDA'S HERO

If the theory is correct, the stars and gas contained in Andromeda will be visible to a naked-eye viewer (if one exists on Earth at the time) in approximately three billion years.

ANDROMEDA'S HERO was a horse who spent most of racing career competing only at the top level of competition. A graded and listed stakes, Andomeda's Hero was four time Grade One placed including the Belmont Stakes, Suburban Handicap and Jockey Club Gold Cup all in New York.  His placing in the Donn Handicap-G1, Arkansas Derby-G2,  and Jim Dandy Stakes-G2 further illustrate how high up in competition level, this son of Champion and Classic winner Fusaichi Pegasus pursued the best horses of several generations.  His 25 starts demonstrate his soundness qualities, which are especially remarkable in this day and age when you consider that Andromedia's Hero raced at such a high level.  Horses must be subjected to to hard training when racing against champions in major Grade One fixtures. Andromeda's Hero faced the big names to include Horse of the Year Invasor and Champion and Classic winner Afleet Alex and many other top ones, and gave a solid account of himself and kept on going.  Ranking among the best horses of his generation and possessing the great King Ranch distaff classic bloodline of Triple Crown winner Assault, Andromeda's Hero could easily prove to be the best stallion from his crop, which would not surprise anyone.

PEDIGREE EVALUATION :

Performance at various distances and top levels are evident in the female family of both Fusaichi Pegasus and Marozia, the sire and dam of Andromeda;s Hero.  Andromedia's Hero brings everything you could want in a stallion prospect to the table and does it at a very reasonable price.  With a fantastic record of performance in the pedigree at every location, Andromeda's Hero is an ideal horse for the New York program and one destined to leave his mark with his progeny performing well in important New York stakes races in the years ahead.  Continue reading and you will understand on what grounds such a statement is made.

MALE LINE:

The Mr. Prospector sire line has accomplished everything in racing that can be accomplished.  At the top levels of competition and on a global scale, descendants of Mr. Prospector have won championships and races of the highest quality on all surfaces and at all distances.  The $4,000,000 yearling of 1998 proved a bargain was he won the Kentucky Derby-G1, Wood Memorial-G1 and, Jerome S.-G2, San Felipe-G2 and was second in the Preakness S.-G1.  FuPeg as he is known, showed that he could win the big ones and demonstrated his ability to win at various locations and distances.  His North American Grade One winning sons, Bandini and Roman Ruler are already at stud. Floral Pegasus is another Grade One winner by FuPeg having won the Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Classic Mile.  In Australia, his son Haradasan won the Grade One Emirates Doncaster Handicap.  Fusaichi Pegasus is stallion with global appeal and his sire record demonstrates that his $60,000,000 syndicated price seems worth the lofty price.

Fusaichi Pegasus has sold progeny for over $100,000,000 and he has already sired the earners of over $25,000,000.  His female family is extremely strong as evidenced by his high sales price.  His stakes placed dam Angel Fever is a full sister to Preakness S.-G1 winner Pine Bluff both being sired by the Chef-De- Race, Danzig and she is also a half sister to stakes winner Demon's Begone.  Two full sisters to Fusaichi Pegasus have already produced graded stakes horses as this pedigree continues to improve, if such an improvement was necessary.  The second dam is by Chef-De-Race Halo.

You can relive Kentucky Derby 126 by clicking here http://www.coolmore.com/stallions/america/fusaichi_pegasus/?vid=34 where Fusaichi Pegasus is an easy winner defeating a top field.

As of September 4, 2007, the Thoroughbred Times stallion progeny earnings listings shows Fusaichi Pegasus as ranked fourth globally among North American based stallions in 2007 International Progeny earnings achieved One Mile or more and first on a listing of stallions with International earnings achieved at less then a mile.   FuPeg progeny are doing it all, everywhere, and at every distance, and on every surface and at every racing age. Additionally, as of September 5, 2007, Fusaichi Pegasus ranked tenth on the North American Juvenile sire's list ahead of Kingmambo, A. P. Indy and Storm Cat and many others.

FEMALE LINE:

This is the female family of our Seventh Triple Crown winner ASSAULT. This ongoing King Ranch distaff bloodline has continued to produce Grade One winners and have accounted for victories or strong placings in a great many New York Grade One fixtures.  I have provided a complete (still working on it) five generation pedigree to enable those who are interested in Andromeda's Hero to better comprehend the obvious the ability of this bloodline to provide runners at every distance and every age at the top Graded levels, especially in New York.  If you believe in horses for courses, Andromeda's Hero's distaff line is one that should be at the top of your list of promising young stallions.  Consider also the number of very sound runners in the pedigree and you will realize that many of the qualities of Andromeda's Hero are just part of the fabric of his strong King Ranch family.
