Peter O'Toole, Omar Sharif and Anthony Quinn at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Actually it me, Bob Fox, and my guide for the day, and my driver and guide for the entire trip. It is a fact that some parts of the great David Lean film "Lawrence of Arabia" were filmed in Morocco. Since Lawrence of Arabia is my favorite movie, I was excited to visit a few sights that were used during the making of the great epic classic.

Morocco has a large international movie industry.  Films such as The Mummy, Gladiator and Jewel of the Nile and a great many other movies were filmed in part in Morocco. 

While we were on this Moroccan vacation, we met some of the people from Black Hawk Down which was being filmed in Morocco while we were on this trip.

John Locke wrote, " No man's knowledge can go beyond his experience."

Bentley asked, "What is it Major Lawrence, that attracts you personally to the desert?" and Lawrence replied, " It's clean."
